Position Purpose:

The position supports the Principal Investigator with the execution and maintenance of the research study, and the management of study documentation.

Essential Functions:

Set up physical lab space and startle booth (for psychophysiological testing) in which to perform research activities.

Work with the Principal Investigator to write the research protocols and corresponding materials (e.g., consent forms, advertising, resource pages) for Institutional Review Board approval; prepare amendments and continuations for the Institutional Review Board.

Assembling regulatory documentation and keeping regulatory documents updated.

Recruitment and enrollment of study participants as well as conducting study visits which includes interviewing youth and their families, conducting psychophysiological testing, and brain scanning (functional task-based MRI).

Recruitment and training with volunteer undergraduate research assistants. Train on study protocols.

Responsible for oversight of data collection, including quality checking and data processing.

Responsible for lab meetings.

Other duties as assigned.

Unique duties:

This position will be for a 2 year commitment with the option to renew for a 3rd year.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree

Bachelor's degree in psychology, neuroscience, or related field.

Experience: Intermediate (3 to 4 years job-related experience)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

· Experience in human subjects/ clinical research lab

· Statistical and coding proficiency at the intermediate level

· Ability to speak/read/write a second language is preferred

· Excellent communication and writing skills

· Strong organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills

· Experience interacting with families and children

· Ability to work independently and collaboratively
