Regional Nurse Manager Ambulatory Specialty (approx. 10-15 specialties)
Full Time - Home Base located Sterling Heights, 3500 15 mile Rd. This position will require traveling between sites on a quarterly bases or as needed.
Responsibilities include: Mentorship & Guidance for a team of ambulatory clinic managers. Providing tools, training and support needed for team performance and operational efficiencies. Educating and teaching. Performance evaluations, system initiatives, accountability and metrics. Process & Program Development, quality improvements, etc.
Preferred Experience: Ambulatory and nursing leadership experience a must. Experience with process & program development.
Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer, the Regional Nurse Manager Ambulatory Nursing Practice is a Registered Nurse who provides professional nursing leadership and administrative direction to HFMG Leadership regarding nursing initiatives, clinical development, standardization of practice, regulatory compliance and service excellence standards for nursing (RN, LPN, MA). The scope of responsibility is defined by geographic region with a minimum of 12 clinic buildings ranging from complex multispecialty sites with ambulatory surgery, procedural departments providing conscious sedation, emergency departments and other complex departments to less complex primary care buildings. Within the regions the number of individual clinics overseen by the regional nurse manager range from 60 to more than 80 clinics. The Regional Nurse Manager in partnership with the CNO, nursing, the health care team, system and regional leaders work to develop a quality practice setting that supports professional nursing practice and quality patient care. Represents Ambulatory Nursing on internal/external committees and serves as a link for nursing across the system. Responsible for clinical practice and regulatory compliance in multiple Ambulatory Care Clinics located in one region.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or related field required. Master's Degree in Nursing or other related field preferred. One of the degrees must be in nursing.
Three to five years of progressively more responsible leadership in an ambulatory clinical setting.
Successful completion of the ANCC certification exam for Ambulatory Care Nursing within one year.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Demonstrated innovative, creative leadership style.
Participative management style. Analytical skills to evaluate procedures, techniques, assess problem and identify solution.
Demonstrated team building, conflict resolution, decision-making and problem-solving skills. Skilled in the use of word, excel and PowerPoint.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:Current license to practice in the State of Michigan as a Registered Nurse.
