Patient Access Representative

1 FT Day shift, 7am-9:30am start time - 8 hours later, EOW

EOW = Every other weekend

Location: Detroit, Michigan, 48201, United States

Employees will work at the registration area of the Hospital and check in patients. They will register the patient, update information or add them to the system, collect patient demographic, insurance cards and copays. This is an extremely busy area! They are busy all day long.

1. Greeting patients and providing world class customer service

2. Create and File patient information folders

3. Verify Insurance, benefits, coverage & eligibility

4. Obtains insurance authorizations for scheduled and unscheduled hospital services

Minimum requirements: 1-2 years in a Medical Office Setting

Pay Rate: $18.00/Hour to start + Benefits + Weekly Pay + SHIFT PREMIUMS

Some of the day will be on your feet.

Some of the day will be in a chair. Must be okay with both!

Emergency Department Shift Premium - Extra

$1.50  This is granted to all hours worked in ED regardless of when they were

worked and is added on top of any of the differentials granted to staff based

on the time of day they work.

• Evening Shift - Extra $1.50 For any hours worked between 3PM and 11PM

• Night Shift - Extra $2.00 For any hours worked between 11PM and 7AM

• Weekend Day - Extra $1.75 For hours worked between 7AM and 3PM on Saturdays and Sundays

• Weekend Evening - Extra $3.00 For hours worked between 3PM and 11PM on Saturdays and Sundays

• Weekend Night - Extra $3.25 For any hours worked between 11PM and 7AM Friday night into Saturday morning and Saturday night into Sunday morning.

We also have a holiday differential

which is calculated as 50% the employee's base pay rate for hours worked

between 11PM the night before a holiday to 11PM the night of the holiday. The

holidays in which this is granted are:

MLK Day

President's Day

Memorial Day

July 4th

Labor Day

Thanksgiving Day

after Thanksgiving (Black Friday)

Christmas

New Year's Day
