Henry Ford Health System Mgr- Data Collection&Tumor Reg- Full time- Research,Design & Analysis in Detroit, Michigan

  • The responsibilities for this position include human resources, program/business development, strategic planning, regulatory compliance and other fiscal and administrative roles.

  • In addition, this position will be administratively responsible for the day-to-day operations of the tumor registry program.

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :

  • Bachelor's degree in a healthcare related field.

  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Record Administration is highly desirable.

  • Five years supervisory experience of a dept/unit in Health Information Data Management preferably in a Public Health setting.

  • Directly relevant experience in field to provide technical expertise along with supervisory and budget management experience.

  • Ability to communicate with diverse stakeholders at all levels with clarity, poise, maturity and precision both written and verbally. Exceptionally well-organized with demonstrated ability to prioritize and track multiple projects.

  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills; balancing strategic alignment and emerging industry trends with practical delivery.

  • Excellent time management; able to grasp new technologies, respond quickly to competing priorities and be comfortable working with tight deadlines.

  • Experience within a medical/healthcare environment.

  • CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED: RHIT and/or CTR required.

    Preferred Skills

  • Understanding and knowledge of general abstractor roles and responsibilities

  • Project Management skills
