Job Title: Materials Supervisor

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Materials Supervisor to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for communicating with customers and suppliers regarding incoming materials and managing inventory within the facility. You will utilize SAP/ERP and Excel systems daily to track and plan inventory.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with customers and suppliers regarding incoming materials and inventory.

  • Use SAP/ERP and Excel systems daily to track and plan inventory.

  • Ensure materials are accurately planned and analyzed.

  • Control inventory and manage logistics.

  • Create and utilize pivot tables, interpret graphs and charts, and perform V lookups within Excel.

  • Professionally communicate via phone and email.

  • Work collaboratively in a team setting and independently solve problems and complete tasks.

Essential Skills

  • 2+ years of experience working in a tier one automotive supplier (Assembly/JIT).

  • 2+ years of material planning or material analytics knowledge.

  • 2+ years of experience utilizing SAP/ERP systems within a tier one automotive environment.

  • Experience pulling releases, utilizing MRP, and tracking shortages within the SAP system.

  • 2+ years of experience with Excel, including creating and utilizing pivot tables, reading and interpreting graphs and charts, and performing V look ups.

  • 2+ years of customer service and communication experience.

  • Ability to work well in a team setting and solve problems independently.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with inventory management and logistics.

  • Strong problem-solving and task solution skills.

  • Professionalism in communication.

Work Environment

This role is based in a 340,000 square foot facility built in 2012, which is clean and updated. We have approximately 1,000 employees working across three shifts. The facility includes two full-time nurses on staff for any injuries. This is a unionized environment (UAW - local 600) and involves working on the plant floor. You will need the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, both independently and as part of a team. The shifts available are: A Crew - Mon-Fri 8:00am-4:30pm, B Crew - Tues-Fri 6:00pm-4:30am, and C Crew - Saturday 6:00am-4:30pm, Sunday, Monday, Wednesday 6:00pm-4:30am.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Detroit, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $35.00
