Henry Ford Health System Manager Advanced Practice Providers Critical Care Full Time Days Detroit in Detroit, Michigan

GENERAL SUMMARY:

This is a great opportunity for a highly motivated leader to basically design and build an APP group in regard to education, oversight and mentoring

The APP Manager will provide administrative support for a defined group of APPs including setting expectations for APPs, ensuring credentialing, managing education, benefit, and salary issues, and participating on the appropriate Henry Ford Health committees that impact these providers as required. Time commitment is approximately 70% administrative and 30% clinical practice, or as determined by leadership.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Completion of an AMA approved Physician Assistant program and certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) OR

  • master's prepared Advanced Practice Registered Nurse with NP board certification in their chosen specialty.

  • Five (5) years of experience as an Advanced Practice Provider.

  • 3 years of ICU experience

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:

  • Current Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant licensure in the State of Michigan and current National Board Certification by approved accrediting bodies.

  • Current ACLS or BLS as required.

  • Current ATLS/PALS provider status as required.
