As a Logistics Associate III at Thermo Fisher Scientific, your success will rely on your ability to work well with cross-functional teams and pay close attention to detail to ensure smooth logistics operations. A day in the Life:

Assist in coordination and performance of the cycle count program. Including investigating discrepancies and adjusting errors.

Prepare for and coordinate the execution of all shipping, receiving and material handling activity.

Ensure a safe and clean work environment through participation a robust 5S program and other processes.

Be an active and contributing member of planning process teams.

Direct the movement of materials to and from internal customers such as Production, Quality and Maintenance.

Ensure ERP transaction completion and accuracy for incoming, in-process and outgoing material.

Oversee the storage and disposition of non-conforming materials.

Maintain quality records as they relate to shipping, receiving, dispensing of bulk stock, cleaning, preventative maintenance, hazardous material storage and any other documents as they relate to the operation.

Create and revise Standard Operating Procedures as they relate to the functional area.

Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent experience required.

Minimum of two (2) years Inventory Control, Shipping and Receiving Coordination, distribution or manufacturing support experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Equivalent experience in Business, Logistics, or Manufacturing is acceptable, although an Associate’s degree is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

Understanding and working knowledge of Logistics functions.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and ERP systems.

Must demonstrate customer focus, action/results orientation, excellent verbal/written communication skills, and the ability to seek input and feedback from others.

Must be organized and detail oriented.

Must possess strong interpersonal skills.

The physical requirements and work environment for this position may vary depending on the specific location and division.

Work Conditions/ Physical Requirements:

Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance

Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards

Cleanroom: No Hair Products, Jewelry, Makeup, Nail Polish, Perfume, exposed piercings, facial hair, etc. allowed

Cold Room/Freezers – 22 degrees

Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs, etc.)

Will work with hazardous/toxic materials
