Robert Half Financial Analyst in Detroit, Michigan
Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Financial Analyst in the non-profit industry, located in Detroit, Michigan. In this role, you will be analyzing financial data, creating financial models, and developing financial plans and reports for organizational leaders. You will also assist in the planning of capital expenditure for program and operational needs and provide financial analysis support for department and program managers.
Responsibilities:
• Analyze business and financial data by program for spending plan completion.
• Create financial models based on analyses to support organizational decision making.
• Develop financial plans and reports for organizational leaders.
• Analyze non-profit industry trends and make recommendations based on those trends.
• Evaluate and assist in planning capital expenditures for program and operational needs.
• Develop automated reporting and forecasting tools for more efficient use of data.
• Provide support for detailed annual financial budget and monthly financial forecasts.
• Assist in preparation of weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial analysis schedules of actual versus budget variances.
• Provide financial analysis support for department and program managers.
• Develop ad hoc reports, special studies, and financial analysis that drive the behavior of the business.
• Design and administration of key performance metrics. Requirements • A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is required.
• Must have a thorough understanding of GAAP Accounting principles.
• Proven experience in Financial Analysis and Forecasting is necessary.
• Experience with Budgeting and Forecasting is essential.
• Must be able to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are crucial.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is required.
• Ability to work independently and within a team is necessary.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills are needed.
• Experience in the non-profit sector would be advantageous.
• Must have a high level of integrity and dependability.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines is necessary.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy is required.
