Walbridge Field Coordinator in Detroit, Michigan

Assist project team members in the coordination, documentation and inspection of field work required to meet project requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Gathers and communicates up-to-date information to project team members.

  • Assists project teams, subcontractors and trades in coordinating activities and interaction.

  • Identifies and communicates potential risks to project safety, schedule, cost and quality.

  • Participates in subcontractor huddles and weekly meetings.

  • Applies Lean fundamentals and thinking, including 5S, site clean-up & waste management and related programs.

  • Assists with accurately entering safety observations, RFI’s, meeting minutes and submittals into CMiC or Prolog.

  • Learns to read and interpret drawings; understands the differences between shop drawings and project drawings; understands the different disciplines of each drawing.

  • Performs additional assignments per supervisor’s direction.

Qualifications

  • Ability to effectively communicate with project team members and subcontractors

  • Ability to organize and execute activities under tight deadlines

  • Technical aptitude to read specifications and drawings

  • Must be a self-starter, ability to get work done with minimal direction

  • Demonstrated ability to conduct research for information to support project requirements

  • Ability to learn information technologies, including data entry and maintaining spreadsheets

  • High School or GED degree

  • Trade or Technical training preferred
