Minimum Qualifications
Strong interest or prior experience in event or hospitality management
Incredibly high attention to detail and high level of organization
Ability to plan, organize, and establish priorities to achieve results
Strong verbal and written skills
Self-starter: always seeking new projects and ways to improve existing ones
Flexibility to occasionally work unusual and long hours, including weekends
Preferred Qualifications
- 1 year of experience assisting with event administration or working in events/hospitality
Job Summary
The Event Venues Sales Intern is part of the Rock Events team. As an intern you will assist the Event Venues team with meeting and event services within our fantastic and growing portfolio of event spaces, including: The Madison, Elevate, State Savings Bank, The Icon, and more! Additionally, this team member is an integral part of the team’s day-to-day functionality. They drive projects and provide administrative support to the Events team as a whole. The goal is to provide a world-class experience, every time.
Responsibilities
Respond to daily inquiries in a timely manner
Enter events and important dates in event management software
Maintain documents shared with both internal and external clients, including but not limited to event resumes, invoicing, contracts, certificates of insurance, and floor plans
Coordinate various projects that will add to the success of the team and the overall client experience
Utilize a creative mindset to provide ideas and support for operation functions and projects
Assist with the planning and organization of team meetings, off-sites and outings
Generate outstanding balance reports and event schedule reports on a biweekly basis
Participate in social media content creation, sourcing of photos, and posting
Attend meetings and client site tours
Assist Event Sales Managers onsite during events
Create floor plans using Social Tables program
Assist with client credit card payments
Assist other Rock Events teams as needed
