Position Overview
This position is responsible for overseeing and managing Foreman and to aide HMA paving projects from start to finish. They will maintain a clear line of communication with the people involved regarding the status of projects to which they are assigned and assist with tasks assigned to them.
Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions) Oversee and manage Foreman. Promote Safety and take active role in addressing concerns and advancing Safety on projects. Maintain field presence to maintain pulse of the projects and crews. Assist with Foreman and crew needs. Recognize and manage jobsite issues as they relate to subcontractors and overall project schedule. Drive efficiency and value changes in the field through recognition of project construction opportunities. Understanding of workflow schedule for projects and what will drive and push the schedule to Cadillac's benefit. Visit job sites. Participate in discussions with PM and Foreman around paving plan.
Other Responsibilities Periodically attend project related meetings. Review of previous day's production as it relates to management of the project and schedule. Assist in resolving project related issues. Track and identify project delays and other pertinent project info.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. 10 years paving experience 5 years supervisory experience Previous MDOT experience Knowledge of environmental, safety, health policies and regulations
