Place of employment: 1350 E Touhy Ave, Des Plaines, IL, 60018. Dates of need: 04/01/2025-12/31/2025. Job Openings: 8. Job Position: Truck Driver SOC Code: 53-3032. Minimum requirements: 3 months of experience, no education required. Job Duties: . 1. Drive a tractor-trailer combination or a truck with a capacity of at least 26,001 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW). 2. Inspects mechanical condition and safety of truck and emergency equipment before and after trips and submits report indicating truck condition. 3. Inspects loads to ensure cargo is secured. 4. Maintains logs of working hours, vehicle service, and repair status. 5. Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions, following signals from loading crew and checking that vehicle and loading equipment are properly positioned. 6. Collect delivery instructions from appropriate sources, verifying instructions and routes. 7. Drive trucks to weigh stations before and after loading and along routes in compliance with state regulations. 8. Read and interpret maps to determine vehicle routes. 9. Operate equipment, such as truck cab computers, CB radios, phones, or global positioning systems (GPS) equipment to exchange necessary information with bases, supervisors, or other drivers. Additional requirement: The beneficiary is obliged to obtain a CDL license within 60 days upon his/her arrival. Days/hours: Mon-Fri 6am-1pm. Work Hours may vary. Wage: \$30.00 per hour. Overtime available and will be paid \$45.00 per hour. Location: Des Plaines, IL 60018. Daily travel is required (90%-100%) to the various clients within the following counties: DuPage County, IL; Will County, IL; Cook County, IL; Lake County, IL; Madison County, WI;. The employer will use a single workweek to compute wages due. All deductions from the workers paycheck required by law will be made. The worker will be paid on weekly basis. The employer will provide the worker at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job. There will be no on-the-job training. The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period. H-2B worker will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (excluding passport fees). Transportation (including meals and, to the extent necessary, lodgings) to the place of employment will be provided, or it\'s cost to workers reimbursed if the worker completes half the employment period. Daily transportation to and from the job site will be provided. Workers will be provided with board, lodging, or other facilities, and/or the employer will assist workers in securing hoard, lodging, or other facilities. Housing is optional and the cost of housing with any deductions will be consistent with the 9142B (specific housing costs arc unknown, but lodging will not exceed reasonable fair market value cost based on the number of occupants). If the worker completes50% of the work contract period, the employer will arrange and pay directly for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract, or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for workers reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most ec nomical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of \$15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of \$59.00 per day with receipts. Interested Applicants should contact their nearest Workforce office.
