Humana Senior Technology Leadership Professional in Des Moines, Iowa

The Senior Technology Leadership Professional – Site Reliability Engineering is responsible for all aspects of software or hardware product delivery and performance in the CenterWell Pharmacy space. The Senior Technology Leadership Professional work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

The Senior Technology Leadership Professional – Site Reliability Engineering works with partner business, technology, and development teams to ensure the quality and stability of production applications and environments supporting the CenterWell Pharmacy lines of business. Validates product designs as well as operational and support readiness. Interacts with partner teams to analyze and provide technical support to help determine monitoring needs and monitor creation. (Dynatrace, Big Panda). Participates in product evaluation and qualification on leading edge technology components. Ensures that production schedules are followed, and product(s) meet specifications and quality requirements. Interacts with product engineering and product business teams to analyze and provide technical support to help resolve customers' product related problems/issues. Begins to influence department’s strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components and works under limited supervision. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.

  • Collaborate effectively across multiple IT teams, external strategic vendors, and a broad group of user stakeholder groups

  • Drives Operational Excellence for all new functionality, applications, projects, and changes impacting Pharmacy PBM (Pharmacy Benefit Management) applications

  • Partner with multiple development areas to advance modernization and cloud transformation as well as reduce Technical Debt

  • Implement advanced automation, performance improvement and application modernization.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

  • 5 or more years of technical experience

  • Experience with the technologies in use in the application(s) or infrastructure - .Net, Java, Snaplogic

  • Experience with evaluating operational and support readiness with Native and cloud technologies

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively across varying levels of personnel

  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

  • Practical technical skills combined with the ability to facilitate technical discussions, restoration bridges and drive solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting pharmacy or healthcare applications and businesses

  • Cloud experience ( Azure, Data Bricks) is highly desired

  • Demonstrated ability running large scale projects

  • Experience with technology solutions assessments and/or strategy planning oversight

Work-At-Home Requirements

To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees’ ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees must meet the following criteria:

At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is recommended; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested

Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership.

Employees who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.

Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.

Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

$104,800 - $144,300 per year

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
