Reporting to the Sr Director, Sales Learning and Development, the Sales Learning and Development Manager will develop and implement initiatives/programs to train and empower the Higher Education sales force. This role will partner closely with Sales leaders to define and build learning opportunities and programs that will enable sales teams to meet and/or exceed their objectives.

What You’ll Do Here:

Collaborate with functional business leaders to understand their training and development needs.

  • Engage regularly with leaders and learners to promote a culture of continual learning and development

  • Work proactively with team members to recommend and deploy effective learning solutions

  • Communicate learning and development solutions effectively to leaders and learners

Design, develop and deliver learning programs and competency-based curriculum.

  • Work with internal subject matter experts to achieve and optimize the defined learning objectives

  • Know and apply current learning tools, methods and learning design principles to ensure optimal impact and efficacy of learning programs

  • Actively align with stakeholders on priority, timing, approach, and delivery of learning experiences

  • Deliver learning across in-person, virtual and on-demand modalities covering critical sales processes, skills and development topics

Develop and implement performance evaluation methods for training and development content, delivery activities, engagement, and outcomes.

  • Define and use appropriate metrics to monitor engagement and validate knowledge transfer

  • Create plans, in partnership with sales managers, to help employees apply, reinforce and sustain their learning

  • Facilitate recognition and rewards for exceptional learning leadership and engagement

Skills You Will Need Here:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, or related field

  • 2-3 years of Learning & Development experience or experience in instructional design

  • 2-3 years of Educational, B2B and / or other relevant sales experience with a proven track record of success

  • Applied knowledge of common sales cycles, competencies, and processes

  • Experience working with CRM, sales reporting, knowledge and content management tools

  • Proven background coaching, mentoring, and leading training programs for sales teams

  • Strong leadership, influence, project management, and relationship-building skills

  • Ability to develop clear action plans and quality processes, in order to achieve desired results

  • Successful track record working with diverse roles, at all levels across the organization

  • Solid written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong presentation/facilitation skills

  • Willingness to travel by car and by air as required for business purposes

The full base pay range has been provided for this position. Individual base pay will vary based on work schedule, qualifications, experience, internal equity, and geographic location. Sales roles often incorporate a significant incentive compensation program beyond this base pay range.

$58,300.00 - $93,200.00 USD
