Job Title: Production Supervisor

Job Description

The Production Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of all department employees and must assure compliance with all safety, quality, quantity, and housekeeping standards. This position requires a high degree of confidentiality and uses independent judgment and discretion in executing duties.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all personnel and operations in the department.

• Maintain thorough knowledge of all processes and equipment.

• Coordinate production with schedulers and other supervisors to organize work for smooth operation.

• Ensure that established policies, rules, regulations, and procedures are followed to provide a safe and efficient working environment.

• Be responsible for all processes, equipment, employees, safety, and housekeeping of the area, meeting production quality and quantity standards on the shift.

• Train, evaluate, and review all department employees and assure adherence to current ISO procedures.

• Must be able to work any shift.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Four (4) year college degree and/or equivalent combination of education, experience, and training that provides the required knowledge.

• Three (3) years of supervision experience.

• This position may require lifting up to 50 lbs. or more.

Work Environment

Shift: 3rd Shift, 10pm-6am Monday - Friday (flexibility required). During peak busy season, the production floor may ramp up to 80 hours. Dress Code: Steel-toed boots, jeans, safety glasses, hearing protection when on the production floor. Team Size: Oversee maintenance technician. Environment: Typical tire manufacturing facility with machines from the 40s and some new automated equipment, not temperature controlled.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Des Moines, Iowa.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $56000.00 - $65000.00/yr.
