Principal Financial Group Paralegal Analyst in Des Moines, Iowa

What You'll Do

As a Paralegal Analyst in our law department, you'll be part of the Real Estate Legal Team. This role offers an outstanding opportunity to work in a fast-paced and highly detailed environment, alongside team members dedicated to accuracy and efficiency. You will be at the heart of our operations, contributing to excellent legal support and ensuring flawless execution.

You can expect to:

  • Manage complex projects with a high degree of independence and initiative

  • Approve guidelines and procedures, directs negotiations, advance strategies and promotes alternative solutions for clients, outside counsel, insurance departments, courts, and other departments

  • Create, organize, and maintain various systems and procedures and contributes and maintains procedural and substantive manuals for department's clients

  • Draft legal memoranda, documents, and forms to fully respond to various issues and develops systems policies and procedures for the department or the company

Who You Are

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent plus a minimum of 6+ years related legal experience

  • Demonstrated expertise in one or more areas of the law practices and procedures

  • Knowledge of commercial real estate work; state and federal statutes

  • Expertise in legal research, knowledge, and skills

  • Strong project management, analytical, and negotiations skills

  • Excellent writing and oral communication and organizational skills

Salary Range Information

Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.

Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly)

$27.40 - $56.18 / hour

Time Off Program

Personal Time Off (PTO) is provided to hourly (non-exempt) employees and provides a set amount of accrued time earned each pay period. Employees can use their PTO for vacation, personal or short-term illness.

Work Environments

This role offers in-office or hybrid (blending at least three office days in a typical workweek) work arrangements. You’ll work with your leader to figure out which option may align best based on several factors.
