Job Title: Microbiology Lab Technician

Shift

• Tuesday- Saturday 2pm - 10:30pm ($18.81/hr)

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry or a related field preferred but not required

• Must have experience working in a fast paced environment if no degree

Job Description

• Enter the sample data into eLIMS system in a timely and accurate manner.

• Conduct laboratory testing on all incoming samples accurately, efficiently, and timely; ensure sample turnaround time goals are met or exceeded.

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the work area.

• Homogenize and aseptically split samples into bags.

• Enrich samples with media.

• Incubate samples using LIMS system.

• Check samples into retain using storage management.

• Identify non-conformances and out-of-specification samples.
