The Role

This Manager of Network Operations supervises a team of project management, engineer and analyst talent all working to ensure efficient and effect oversight and management of all Mass Markets plant locating and related vendor management functions.

Location and Schedule

This is a Work From Home Position in the United States

The Main Responsibilities

Manages direct reports and all personnel and performance for:

• Project Management responsible for operational locate performance and CX between Lumen and vendors in each state

• Operations Engineering responsible for GIS plant record updates to 811 and vendors for the entire network

• Analyst functions responsible for billing audits and processing including liquidated damages offset

Responsibilities also include:

• Impact: $100M vendor contracts in 16 states for locates on the entire Mass Markets network

• Collaborates with Legal and Procurement teams for contractual interpretations and accountability to inform options and make recommendations to Operation executives on the overall management of the vendor relationships providing Locates services to Lumen (16 states LEC network as well as the entire country for the Enterprise network).

• Interacts with state agencies (811) across Lumen (16 states Mass Markets network as well as the entire country for the Enterprise network).

• Partners with Lumen regulatory teams to address state and local government locate concerns. This can include state audits of Lumen and locate vendor operations, and the negotiation of fines and penalties.

• Provides support for locate-associated damage mitigation.

What We Look For in a Candidate

• Bachelors degree or equivalent education and experience.

• Typically with 5-7 years related experience and 1+ year previous supervisory / leadership experience preferred.

The starting salary for this role differs based on the employee's primary work location. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual's qualifications.

Location Based Pay Ranges

$94420 - $125890 in these states: AR, ID, KY, LA, ME, MS, NE, SC, and SD.

$99390 - $132510 in these states: AZ, AL, FL, GA, IN, IA, KS, MO, MT, NM, ND, OH, OK, PA, TN, UT, VT, WV, WI, and WY.

$104360 - $139140 in these states: CO, HI, MI, MN, NV, NH, NC, OR, and RI.

$109330 - $145770 in these states: AK, CA, CT, DE, DC, IL, MD, MA, NJ, NY, TX, VA, and WA.

As with the pay range variety that's based on the region of a country, specific offers are determined by various factors such as experience, education, skills, certifications and other business needs.

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

This position is eligible for either short-term incentives or sales compensation. Director and VP positions also are eligible for long-term incentive.
