Team Summary
The Manager Production Planning is accountable for the production planning process and finite scheduling for GAF’s polyiso insulation (ISO) business. This position will report to the Director of Commercial Planning and Procurement Operations. The Manager Production Planning will supervise a team of production schedulers who plan the ISO production for GAF. The Manager will drive improved production planning processes and support an improved order management process and solution that creates greater transparency for the customer, enabling them to plan their business more effectively. In addition, this person will drive process improvements that will optimize production efficiency, reduce waste, and increase overall operating performance.
Job Summary
The Manager Production Planning will have experience in material requirements planning (MRP) and extensive knowledge of production scheduling and methods. He/she will have experience working in a production or manufacturing environment. This person will be the lead facilitator between customer care, supply chain planning and operations, and the manufacturing organization to ensure efficient / timely production schedules are created, identify potential schedule changes that impact customer orders, address potential raw material receiving issues, and maintain sufficient product inventory levels.
Essential Duties
Manage monthly, weekly, daily, production planning and scheduling processes for polyiso products. Enable GAF to meet the needs of the customer while driving efficient manufacturing operations. Identify and solve for potential order management issues with customer care that minimizes the impact to the customer.
Identify potential raw material supply risk and execute risk mitigation plans with the necessary cross-functional teams to ensure continuous production of finished goods.
Develop and recommend improvements in planning tools and systems that lead to the formation of best practices processes in production scheduling. Support the implementation of new planning systems and tools when required.
Lead and develop the team of ISO production planners. Identify opportunities to improve individual performance and establish training to support individual growth and development.

This position needs to be located near a major airport for easy travel and be based at our Headquarters in Parsippany, NJ or near one of our ISO Manufacturing Facilities

Annual Salary Range: 112,500-143,750
