Description We are seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk for our team based in Des Moines, Iowa. This role involves managing day-to-day accounts payable processes and cash disbursement functions, as well as administering the p-card program. The successful candidate will ensure timely vendor payments, manage vendor relationships, and prepare annual reports.

Responsibilities include:

• Independently managing all accounts payable and cash disbursement process functions

• Administering the p-card program, including processing card applications, updating user information, and monitoring transactions

• Ensuring accurate and timely payment of vendor invoices and expense vouchers

• Managing vendor relationships and resolving any discrepancies or issues

• Preparing and submitting annual Form 1099’s to meet federal reporting requirements

• Reconciling Accounts Payable detail listing to the General Ledger on a monthly basis

• Training personnel regarding purchasing procedures and updating policies as necessary

• Serving as a liaison between office supplies vendor and user departments

• Analyzing discounts and special pricing from consortium groups and other vendors to ensure appropriate pricing

• Utilizing skills in Account Reconciliation, Accounts Payable (AP), Check Runs, Coding Invoices, Data Entry, Invoice Processing, Microsoft Excel, P-card, Form 1099, IRS W-2 Forms

• AA Degree in accounting or Business and 3+years accounting payable experience preferred.

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP)

• Familiarity with Check Runs processes

• Experience in Coding Invoices

• Data Entry skills are essential

• Proficiency in Invoice Processing and Account Reconciliation

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel

• Experience with P-card processes

• Familiarity with Form 1099 processes

• Knowledge of IRS W-2 Forms processes
