ManpowerGroup Accounting Clerk in Des Moines, Iowa

Our client is seeking an Accounting Clerk to join their team. As an Accounting Clerk , you will be part of the Finance Department supporting the Accounting Team . The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail , excellent verbal and written communication skills , and the ability to manage time effectively , which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Accounting Clerk 2

Location: Des Moines

Pay Range: $22.50/hour

What’s the Job?

  • Classify, record, and summarize numerical and financial data to maintain accurate financial records using journals and ledgers or computers.

  • Calculate, prepare, and issue bills, invoices, account statements, and other financial documents according to established procedures.

  • Manage debits, credits, and totals on computer spreadsheets and databases using specialized accounting software.

  • Support the team with various financial reporting and administrative tasks.

  • Assist in maintaining compliance with federal, state, and company accounting regulations.

What’s Needed?

  • High school diploma or GED required; associate's degree in accounting or a related financial discipline preferred.

  • Previous experience with accounting software and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Understanding of federal, state, and company accounting policies and regulations.

  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines effectively.
