We are onboarding new employees using a hybrid approach. The Department supports flexible work arrangements. Depending on the business need and description of the position, we have options that range from remote, hybrid, to full-time in the office. Description of Job
The Finance Office welcomes your interest in the temporary aide position.
Responsibilities in this position include:
Assist the Travel Compliance Designee with monthly Commercial Credit card payments and provides support for both Travel and Procurement Card processes.
Send out monthly US Bank payment reminders via email, print incoming US Bank payments from staff.
Sort and review payments to ensure proper supporting documentation/appropriate charges.
Compile a list of employees who have not submitted US Bank payment.
Assist in reviewing monthly bank statements, receipts, accounting codes, prepare documents and records in CORE to pay amounts due to the Credit Card Company.
Input accounting coding strings onto PRC1 in CORE timely, to pay for Commercial Credit Card. Fixes corrections after supervisor reviews PRC1. Assists with reoccurring Travel/PCard trainings.
Assist with travel reimbursements (paper and online); review and approve pending Pre- Approval requests to Governor’s office, as well as approving for Final TCD review status on Share Point.
Verify employees are set up in CORE for reimbursement purposes.
Add the travel reimbursements into the AP Tracker and into a spreadsheet and emails the accountant for processing.
Work with the Accountant responsible for establishing vendor customer accounts in CORE, providing the required information to establish new vendor/employee accounts.
Assist the Accounts Payable Accountant in processing invoice payments daily.
Monitor the A/P tracker daily, reviewing duplicate entries and sorting them by submission date.
Create a General Accounting Expense (GAX) document in the CORE accounting system.
Review the completeness of the receiving report and invoice associated in creating the document; and checks CORE for duplicate payments.
Minimum Qualifications, Substitutions, Conditions of Employment & Appeal Rights
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience: One (1) year of professional experience in General Accounting - Account Payable, procurement card transactions, cash receipts or in a field closely related to the work assignment.
Substitutions:
Appropriate education will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
All positions at HCPF are security sensitive positions and require that the individuals undergo a criminal record background check as a condition of employment.
