The role is part of the In-Space Systems business unit, which is focused on development, manufacturing, and operation of satellite systems to address one of the most compelling challenges in spaceflight today: space mobility.

As part of a small, hardworking, and accomplished team of Mission Systems and Flight Operations Engineers, you will work closely with space vehicle and ground subsystem teams, leading and performing tasks throughout the full system lifecycle. You will share in the team's impact on all aspects of the mission operations concept, mission analysis and planning, flight planning, ground data systems, and tools used to operate advanced spaceflight v You will enjoy a fast-paced dynamic environment, contributing innovative solutions, while demonstrating personal leadership, technical competence, and attention to detail. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and reliable spaceflight.

Special Mentions * Relocation provided * Travel expected up to 10% of the timeResponsibilities: Craft intuitive UI/UX interfaces for mission control tools (i.e., Mission Planning, Flight Dynamics, Communications Management, Anomaly Resolution), prioritizing effective visualization and interactive experiences. Develop dynamic 3D models and visualizations of in-space assets to support situational awareness, operator training, mission rehearsals, and software validation. Adopt UI/UX and data visualization practices to enhance real-time operational decision-making and improve response efficiency. Coordinate closely with cross-functional teams to incorporate simulations into the broader ground system infrastructure seamlessly. Design and architect user-centered, intuitive flight operations tools, including operator console tools, handover tools, operator logs, and Contingency Action Requests (CARs) systems. Work in a multidisciplinary environment to gather requirements and seamlessly integrate the tools with existing ground system infrastructure. Oversee the full development lifecycle of the tools, from conception through deployment, including testing and validation. Collaborate with flight controllers, engineers, and various stakeholders to identify enhancements and streamline operational workflows. Provide documentation, training, and support for end-users of the Mission Control Systems tools.Qualifications: B.S. in Computer Science, Graphic Design, Data Visualization, or a related technical field with a focus on UI and software development.
