This position is in the Space Systems Development (SSD) business unit. SSD develops next-generation concepts and systems to advance our future of living and working in space sustainably. We are a diverse team of collaborators, doers, and problem-solvers who are committed to a culture of safety. This position directly impacts the history of space exploration and requires a commitment and detailed attention toward safe and repeatable space flight. This position is part of the Core Formulation Team within the Space Systems Development (SSD) business unit. Systems Engineers provide architecture and system definition and modeling, concept exploration, and mission design expertise to the broader Core Formulation Team: a multidisciplinary group of systems thinkers capable of versatile analysis with an emphasis on speed, technical credibility, adaptability, and contextual analysis. The team operates in a fast-paced agile process to sequentially nurture ideas and formulate early concepts into next-generation technologies, systems, and programs to advance our future of living and working in space sustainably. We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to positively support our Blue Horizon vision. Passion for our mission and vision is required!

Responsibilities: Provide technical direction and support to support rapid definition, analysis, and evaluation of architecture and system concepts, trade studies, and technical roadmaps Provide technical direction and support in developing concept of operations, requirements, and functional architecture definition. Provide technical direction and support defining configuration and sizing for a diverse range of system applications; including block diagrams, interface documents, mass & power equipment lists, etc. Provide technical direction and support in support of Formulation ongoing sprint cycle planning and/or execution.
