Your opportunity
Ensure integrity of pricing elements provided by the respective Janus Henderson Third Party Administrators (TPA), including oversight of external vendors.
Execute price verification including the calculation of fair value adjustments, and where necessary develop and review valuation models based on market data and security comparable information to provide valuation recommendations
Prepare and present valuation matters to the regional pricing committees
Maintain accuracy and integrity of Investment Book of Records (IBOR) including asset prices, ensuring that all positions and market value data used by Fund Managers and other internal / external clients & functions is of high quality
Oversee custodian cash and stock reconciliations performed by TPA with ability to clearly identify and resolve high risk items
Enhance existing control framework including oversight of TPA pricing & reconciliation processes, Service level Agreements, Key Performance Indicators and associated reporting.
Ownership for the resolution of exceptions and involvement in the production of MI, Data Quality, third party relationship management, escalation of issues, ensuring timely and accurate compliance
Work with internal departments and market vendors to maximise efficiencies and improve service to clients
Periodically review team processes and tasks to ensure they are optimal and fit for purpose
Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external functions e.g., TPAs, Data Operations, Trade Operations, IT Market Data Manager, Fund Management, Operations Strategy, Business Change, Client and Product Implementation etc.

Must have skills
At least 5 years prior relevant experience in investment ops, including asset level valuations, fair value pricing, IBOR reconciliations, and custody cash and stock reconciliations.
Prior experience with private investment valuations such as private placements.
Problem solving capability for complex client and/or process issues.
Someone who is analytical and can work under pressure to tight deadlines.
Strong communication skills: written communication and verbal. Confident to be able to provide documents that are clear, precise and understandable and communicating clearly with colleagues, IT managers, investment teams and developers.
Strong project management skills: Ability to organize and track multiple threads of activity, ability to deliver on tight timelines, hands-on approach to resolving issues and detail orientation.
Task oriented: Must be able to multi-task, prioritize work, and work well under pressure from multiple clients/constituents to respond to client inquiries quickly.
Highly organized, attention to detail and excellent follow through skills.
Nice to have skills
Advanced user of Excel (Macros / VBA would be beneficial) Experience in interactions with Fair Value Pricing Committees. (Highly beneficial)
Knowledge of NAV production workflow (Buy Side experience advantageous)
Use of Charles River, Imagine, Bloomberg, PowerBI
Degree plus other relevant industry qualifications is an advantage. Able to demonstrate technical growth and desire to learn and grow their knowledge and understanding.

Compensation information
The base salary range for this position is $75,000 – 95,000. This range is estimated for this role. Actual pay may be different. This role will remain open through November 15, 2024. Colorado law requires an estimated closing date for job postings. Please don't be discouraged from applying if you see this date has passed.
Annual Bonus Opportunity: Position is eligible to receive an annual discretionary bonus award from the profit pool. The profit pool is funded based on Company profits. Individual bonuses are determined based on Company, department, team and individual performance.
