ASRC Federal Holding Company Project Manager (Remote) in Denver, Colorado

ASRC Federal Vistronix (ASRC Federal) is seeking a full time Project Manager to join our Denver-based team and provide IT Project Management support for our government customer and their Project Management Office (PMO). This role is a remote position but may require some limited domestic travel. The successful candidate will assist in guiding and coaching federal staff, teammates, and other vendors in continuous improvement in software development and deployment as well as be a hands-on contributor to PMO projects. The candidate will assist in the continued growth of the processes for the PMO, including supporting an efficient onboarding process for new software development efforts, establishing on-going better practices regarding the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC), and guiding our client and its’ vendor developers toward a wholistic scaled agile approach to software development, with an emphasis on leveraging enterprise-level platform products. The ability to work with both technical and non-technical audiences is very important.

  • Oversee the coordination and completion of projects.

  • Coordinate with government leadership on project plans and priorities.

  • Organize, manage, and assist in the completion of PMO deliverables. Ensure deliverables are managed to scope, time, and cost constraints.

  • Incorporate frequent feed-back loops to ensure continuous improvement.

  • Manage deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor and summarize progress of project.

  • Build and maintain working relationships with team members, vendors, and client departments involved in the projects.

  • Facilitate meetings with subject matter experts from various levels of the business to organize work and priorities.

  • Re-engineer business processes to meet new business requirements.

  • Document the specifications of design principles, processes, models, and standards that address business requirements and goals.

  • Create artifacts based on the requirements and needs of individual projects.

  • Assist in applying common best practices for the industry to the customer.

  • Actively participate in enterprise strategy sessions, strategic assessments, and design reviews to validate enterprise approach and associated work products.

  • Document meetings outcomes and action items; take meeting minutes.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

This position is offering a pay range of $108,750 - $112,500 depending on experience, seniority, geographic locations, and other factors permitted by law. Requirements :

  • 2 – 4 years of experience in the management, coordination, and completion of software development and IT projects.

  • 2+ years leading and directing one or more project teams engaged in the design, implementation and modification of IT projects that span across functional organizations.

  • Bachelor’s Degree. Advanced Degree or data/IT-related certification also desired.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a position of Public Trust clearance.

  • Experience managing/working on Agile software projects, especially Scaled Agile (either as a PM, Product Owner, Scrum Master, or Team Member)

  • Excellent skills organizing and mentoring staff to achieve project goals and objectives.

  • Advanced working knowledge with MS Office (Office 365), SharePoint, and Microsoft Visio.

  • Experience working with a wide range of personnel, including business sponsors, product owners, government.

  • Good verbal communication skills, including the ability to listen to discussion from a variety of stakeholders and capture key information and action items.

  • Strong technical writing skills, with the ability to write and edit complex documentation (10-40 pages) as well as concisely describe requirements and detailed functional requirements documentation is a primary deliverable for this position.

  • Meeting facilitation skills, working with subject matter experts from various levels of the business to organize work and priorities.

  • Team player that desires to be part of the process (and not just monitor the process)

  • Have demonstrated the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives with differing priorities, familiar with project management tools and concepts.
