David Evans And Associates Project Engineer - Advanced Power System Studies in Denver, Colorado
DEA's Energy Business Unit is currently hiring an Advanced Power Systems Engineer to join our team. The responsibilities of the Advanced Power Systems Engineer will include working closely with project engineers and project managers on multidiscipline project teams providing analysis and technical expertise. The position entails performing a variety of Advanced Power System studies to support our renewable energy clients. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following Perform advanced engineering power system studies using software such as: ETAP, EasyPower, PSLF, PSS/E, CYMCAP, PSCAD, CDEGS, EMPT and others. Prepare project deliverables including but not limited to data gathering requests, accurate study results, technical reports, engineering drawing updates, correspondence and miscellaneous project documentation. Collaborate with other engineering disciplines as required. Should be able to assess the impacts of design changes on other disciplines to pick the best solution. Foster constructive communication between disciplines.
Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college 3+ years experience in power system design and analysis Ability to write technical reports in a clear, concise manner
Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college. 7+ years of Advanced Power System experience in the power generation and/or delivery industry using ETAP and EZPower. Professional Engineering License (PE) Experience working as an electrical consultant and managing projects Experience writing technical papers or reports
