Program Director

Job Description

The Program Director is accountable for leading and executing core projects and programs in support of one or more of Prime’s market segments.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for the execution of operational plans for a complex set of programs and critical initiatives related to assigned market or line of service and for maintaining alignment and identifying interdependencies between all program level work efforts

  • Maintain and refine key market segments and strategies to ensure line of business market success

  • Collaborate with various business units, cross functional teams and key stakeholders to ensure timely, accurate and on budget implementation of market strategies

  • Provide comprehensive, accurate, timely and relevant market analysis and reporting to inform Prime’s management; Manage assessment, tracking and strategies necessary to take advantage of market opportunities

  • Promote specific line of business through active participation in internal and external communications, planning activities, trade shows, conferences etc.

  • Manage products/programs and implement tools/enhancements to ensure new strategies are successfully developed and implemented; leverage new or existing tools to manage and cultivate new business opportunities

  • Develop and maintain business cases and materials to support new program opportunities/enhancements and performance target metrics

  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Health Care Administration, or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience; HS diploma or GED is required

  • 8 years of analytic, account management, product development, project management or consultative experience within healthcare, PBM, specialty pharmacy, health care consulting or other highly regulated industry

  • 2 years of program management experience

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship

Additional Qualifications

  • Ability to work in self-directed environment

  • Ability to establish trust, respect and credibility and form close working relationships with all levels of Prime

  • Demonstrated ability to distill complex concepts or situations into concise and compelling communications

  • Expert negotiation and influencing skills

  • Critical thinking skills and ability to anticipate issues and develop innovative solutions

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare, or related field

Minimum Physical Job Requirements

  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time

  • Constantly required to sit, use hands to handle or feel, talk and hear

  • Frequently required to reach with hands and arms

  • Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, and crouch

  • Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

Reporting Structure

  • Reports to Sr Principal, Sr Director, or VP in the Specialty Product or Sales, Government Programs, Market Segment Services or Operations, Planning & Delivery departments

Potential pay for this position ranges from $109,000.00 - $174,000.00 based on experience and skills. Pay range may vary by 8% depending on applicant location.
