What you'll own A leadership role in managing Oracle Database overseeing a team of database administrators and engineers responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Oracle databases within an organization. As a leader in this capacity, your responsibilities may include: Strategic Planning: Develop and communicate a strategic vision for the organization's Oracle databases and Exadata aligning technology initiatives with business goals and objectives. Team Management: Lead and manage a team of database administrators and engineers, providing guidance, mentoring, and support to ensure the team's success and professional development. Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of projects related to Oracle databases, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Database Architecture: Design and implement scalable, secure, and efficient Oracle databases, including deployment, automation, and database security solutions. Vendor Management: Collaborate with vendors, senior leaders and service providers to evaluate and procure hardware, software, and services for Oracle databases, ensuring alignment with organizational requirements. Compliance and Security: Ensure that databases comply with industry regulations, security best practices, and organizational policies, conducting audits and implementing controls to mitigate risks. Performance Optimization: Monitor and analyze database performance metrics, identify opportunities for optimization, and implement measures to enhance the efficiency and reliability of databases. Incident Response and Problem Resolution: Lead the response to database incidents, troubleshoot complex issues, and coordinate with the team to resolve problems promptly and minimize impact on operations. Training and Development: Provide training, coaching, and professional development opportunities to team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth within the organization. Stakeholder Communication: Communicate with key stakeholders, including IT leadership, business executives, and Application teams, to provide updates on database initiatives, address concerns, and solicit feedback to improve services.

What you bring Experience: Several years of experience in database administration, engineering, or related roles in a Global organization. Experience managing Oracle databases, Exadata, high transaction databases in hybrid environments, and large database footprint is essential across multiple platfor Leadership and management skills: Strong leadership qualities, including the ability to inspire, motivate, and guide a team of IT professionals, are crucial for this leadership role. Experience in team management, mentoring, performance evaluation, and conflict resolution is important. Technical expertise: In-depth knowledge of Oracle database, Exadata, storage, and security concepts is essential for this leadership role. Hands-on experience with database architecture, design, monitoring and implementation is valuable. Project management: Experience in project management, including planning, budgeting, resource allocation, and stakeholder communication, is important for overseeing technology initiatives and ensuring successful project delivery. Communication skills: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effectively communicating with team members, stakeholders, executives, and end users. The ability to articulate technical concepts in a clear and understandable manner is important. Problem-solving abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are crucial for addressing complex technology challenges, troubleshooting database issues, and making informed decisions to drive database improvements.
