Our Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Metallurgical Engineer for our Materials and Corrosion Engineering Practice in our Denver, CO office. In this role you will work as part of a team to conduct hands-on failure analysis, field inspections, laboratory testing, as well as work with clients to evaluate failure mechanisms and propose integrity management measures.

You will be responsible for

Conducting hands-on failure analysis Planning and executing laboratory tests Conducting field inspections Direct SEM operation, metallurgical analysis and testing Creating written reports and presentations Communicating effectively with other engineers, technicians, managers, clients and administrative staff

You will have the following skills and qualifications

Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering, Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering, or related field

Specialized knowledge of welding is required

Metallurgical engineering knowledge and experience in metallographic and fractographic interpretation, corrosion, fracture mechanics, heat treatment and/or microstructural development is desired

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to work within project teams with a strong desire to contribute
