Summary: DaVita is seeking a highly motivated and experienced social media manager to lead our social media and content strategy efforts. This role requires a strategic leader with 4-6 years of proven success in developing and executing social media strategies that drive significant engagement, brand awareness, and lead generation among multiple audiences. You will oversee our overall social media strategy (organic and paid), mentor and manage junior social media teammates, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs). Responsibilities: 1. Strategic Planning and Execution of Social Media Initiatives: Lead the strategy and execution of our comprehensive social media strategy, aligned with overall marketing goals and brand identity for multiple audiences such as patient, physician, payors, policymakers, etc. audiences. This includes defining target audiences and tailoring content accordingly for distribution through effective social channels. Develop and implement a cohesive strategy across all platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc.) that supports departmental objectives and drives growth. Conduct thorough social media audits and competitive analyses to identify opportunities for growth within the kidney care space. Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and track progress towards achieving them. Stay abreast of industry trends, algorithm updates, and emerging social media platforms, including understanding social media compliance and legal considerations, particularly within the healthcare industry. Evaluate, develop and launch strategic plans for new social media channels not currently utilized by the organization. Identify and leverage social media trends and viral content opportunities to drive engagement and reach by leveraging research and technologies that aid in understanding best practices that effectively generate engagement. Regularly evaluate and update social media strategies based on performance metrics and evolving goals. Design social media programs that ensure brand stewardship, consistency of voice, and appropriate compliance. Manage DaVita's social presence by conducting social listening and collaborating with experts to identify relevant conversations and comments for response and brand engagement. Monitor effectiveness measurements for social posts and stay ahead of best practices. Make recommendations to drive continuous improvement.

  1. Content Creation, Collaboration and Community Management: Participate and contribute towards multi-stakeholder editorial committee meetings with the objective of creating and curating high-quality, engaging social media content (text, images, videos, stories) tailored for our key audiences. Ensure brand consistency and adherence to healthcare regulations across all social media platforms. Collaborate with other functional areas within marketing (e.g., content marketing, design, video production) to ensure seamless content integration. Manage and participate in the development of content for multiple audiences simultaneously and identify appropriate social channel distribution. Develop and maintain a monthly content calendar for multiple social media platforms. Schedule and post content on social media channels based on best practices and performance analytics. Test and experiment with new social media features and innovative channel functionalities to enhance engagement. Manage community interactions by responding to questions, comments, complaints, and reviews, and escalating issues as necessary. Develop and maintain an approved response library that incorporates an internal auditing plan to ensure compliance. Lead the development and management of a robust brand ambassador program, engaging key internal and external influencers and community members within the kidney care space. Works closely with Corporate Communications and agency partners to support seamless scheduling and planning of the social media editorial calendar. Identifies opportunities to leverage content from other channels, including video, podcasts, thought leadership, blogs, and more.

  2. Reporting and Analytics: Provide monthly reports to show the results of paid and organic social media efforts to inform KPI effectiveness and ongoing refinement. Analyze engagement metrics, audience insights, and campaign performance to identify areas for strategic adjustments. Regularly assess content performance to identify improvements/optimization. Familiarity with social media listening and monitoring tools to track brand mentions, sentiment, and conversations relevant to the organization. Analyze social media metrics, create reports, and use data-driven insights to refine strategies.

  3. Leadership and Team Development Lead discussions and meetings with the digital marketing team to ensure alignment and collaboration on paid and organic social media strategies and content initiatives. Participate in joint editorial committee meetings with the corporate communications team to ensure message alignment and ideation of engaging content for multiple audiences.
