Lecturer - 33436 Faculty Description

The Department of Economics in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at the University of Colorado Denver invites applications for a temporary, part-time, non-tenure-track teaching position beginning June 2024. The Department seeks a lecturer to teach Economics courses, such as Principles of Macroeconomics and Principles of Microeconomics. This position will teach no more than two courses per semester. Appointments will be made semester-by-semester, depending on the needs of the department and subject to budgetary approval.

Salary and Benefits:

The hiring rate for this position has been established at $1,559 per credit hour (lower division), $1,645 per credit hour (upper division), or $1,808 per credit hour (graduate level).

This part-time appointment is not eligible for group health, life insurance, and retirement benefits.

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Master's Degree in Economics from an accredited university.

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous teaching experience.

Ph.D. in Economics.
