RES IFS Integration Support Engineer in Denver, Colorado

Summary:

The newly established Centre of Excellence (CoE) will operate the IFS Cloud ERP platform and an integrated landscape of complementary technologies, supporting the business in achievement of their strategies and enabling business change and transformation efforts.

The IFS Integration Engineer will play a crucial role in the successful implementation and ongoing support of IFS within our organization. This position involves managing and troubleshooting integrations between IFS and various organizational systems predominantly using Boomi as the integration platform. The role requires close collaboration with internal teams and external vendors to ensure seamless data flow and system performance. As a subject matter expert within the CoE, the engineer will contribute to the development and standardization of best practices for system and data integration.

Requirements:

  • Integration Development & Support:

  • Develop, configure, and maintain integration solutions between IFS Applications and other organizational systems using native IFS capabilities and the Boomi integration platform.

  • Working closely with the Boomi platform team, troubleshoot and resolve integration issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.

  • Analyze and optimize the performance of integrations and interfaces to ensure efficient data processing and minimal latency.

  • Monitor integration performance and implement measures to ensure data accuracy, integrity privacy and security across systems using best practice.

  • Provide governance and controls around integration authentication and secure key vault management.

  • Implementation & Transition:

  • Collaborate with project teams during the IFS implementation phase to ensure integrations meet business requirements.

  • Perform data mapping and transformations within the Boomi platform.

  • Support the transition of integration activities to Centre of Excellence and IT team members, including documentation and knowledge transfer.

  • Ensure the Boomi platform team maintain a strong understanding of the IFS dependencies on Boomi platform reliability and performance.

  • Assist in the design and implementation of scalable integration strategies and frameworks.

  • Documentation & Reporting:

  • Maintain detailed documentation for all integration processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.

  • Prepare and deliver regular reports on integration performance, issues, and resolutions to stakeholders.

  • Develop and update user guides and training materials for the CoE and Boomi teams.

  • Collaboration & Communication:

  • Work closely with business analysts, developers, and other stakeholders to understand integration requirements and ensure alignment with business goals.

  • Work closely with Cyber Security and Security Architecture, and ensure relevant technical stakeholders understand the integration pattern principles and integration security best practices.

  • Provide technical support and training to end-users and internal teams on integration-related issues.

  • Participate in regular meetings with project teams and the CoE to review progress and address any concerns.

  • Stay current with updates and new features in Boomi and IFS Applications to recommend improvements or enhancements.

  • Contribute to the development and enforcement of integration standards and best practices within the organization.

  • Assist in identifying and implementing automation opportunities to improve integration efficiency.

  • Provide on-call support as needed for critical integration issues and system outages.

Safety:

  • Follows safety and security procedures and determines appropriate action. Reports potentially unsafe conditions and uses materials and equipment properly.

Qualifications:

  • Highschool/GED is required.

  • Associate’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or related field is preferred.

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or related field is preferred.

  • 5+ years of experience with integrating enterprise applications and managing data flows between systems is required.

  • 5+ years of experience with data warehousing, ETL processes, and database management systems is required.

  • Ability to travel 5-15%.

  • Knowledge:

  • Proficient in using Boomi for integration development and troubleshooting.

  • Knowledge of Boomi components, architecture and capabilities, including using Boomi Atoms, Molecules, and Cloud.

  • Strong understanding of IFS Applications and their integration capabilities, in particular IFS Connect, IFS API Explorer and OData Protocol.

  • Proficient in API authentication and authorisation methods, such as OAuth, JWT, API Auth Key, HTTP Basic Auth, and ability to determine which methods of authentication are appropriate.

  • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms, cloud-based technologies, and enterprise architecture principles.

  • Proficient in applying ITILv3 good practice, such as Incident Management, Change Management, etc., to all essential functions and responsibilities.

  • Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex integration issues effectively.

  • Version Control best practices within Boomi, including knowledge of associated tools, including Azure DevOps and GIT.

  • High level of accuracy in documenting processes and troubleshooting issues.

  • Good understanding of project management principles and experience in managing integration tasks within the full Software Development Lifecycle.

  • Abilities:

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to translate business process into system configuration and workflow.

  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with technical teams and stakeholders.

  • Capability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to evolving project requirements

Anticipated base salary range: $96,000 - $113,000

The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. This position is bonus eligible.
