Position Overview:

The Energy Modeler produces building energy modeling simulations and determines energy savings for energy efficient retrofit projects for existing multifamily buildings.

Requirements

Must Have Qualifications:

  • 3+ years’ experience in energy modeling using NEAT/MHEA software.

  • Possess a solid grasp of mechanical systems specifically heat pump HVAC and hot water systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Possess an understanding of building science and energy conservation measures

  • Understanding of weatherization and of utility energy efficiency incentive programs

  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with team members who do not possess a technical background

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft suite of products, especially MS Excel

  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Location: Remote in the U.S.A.

Reports to: Director of Technical Services

Skill Level: Intermediate

Areas of Expertise: Energy Modeling, Building Science, Energy Efficiency

Compensation: $65K/yr. DOE

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working with partners in ICAST to understand customer needs and develop energy models using available data.

  • Utilizing NEAT/MHEA software to complete building energy models

  • Collaborating with the ICAST teams to propose ways to facilitate energy savings to clients.

  • Producing modeling reports.

  • Utilizing project management tools to track and report status.
