Job Summary and Qualifications

Responsible for setting the strategic direction for the Neuroscience and Robotics service lines across the Continental Division. Develop and implement business plans to support the continued growth and success of the division. Establish and lead a cohesive organizational and governance structure that supports the hospitals. Actively coordinate the operational components of the Neuroscience and Robotics Service lines across the division resulting in service line growth, improvements in patient outcomes, patient and physician satisfaction.

Establish an operational structure that brings together all functional elements of Neuroscience and Robotics services to provide a programmatic, multidisciplinary approach to the Service Line.

· Establish routine Service Line meetings at market level in Denver and Wichita.

· Recruit a physician champion for each facility to chair or participate in Service Line meetings as mutually agreed with facility leadership.

· Establish a common Service Line dashboard, measuring clinical and operational outcomes.

· Monitor service line P&L and market share.

· Produce and present reports on key performance indicators, benchmarking metrics and implement plans to address opportunities.

· Assist facilities in the development of evidence based best practices to provide consistency in the performance of the services across the division.

· Assist facilities and the Physician Services Group in physician recruitment.

· Assist in physician alignment activities at the market level.

· Report out at division CEO meetings regarding performance of the service lines.

· Collaborate with Development, Physician Provider Relations, Outreach, Access Center, and Telehealth teams as needed.

· Lead the strategy sessions at the division annual planning retreat for the service lines.

· Review all facility business plans and proformas for any new opportunities and make recommendations to SVP Development.

· Partner with facility service line leaders and administration on growth and development of new programs or expanded services.

Assist in coordinating the allocation of capital, equipment and supplies within the service lines.

· Utilize expertise in surgical services to help develop requests for routine and other capital that is consistent with the objective of reducing variability across the service line

· Assists in the preparation of, the annual service line operating/capital budget

· Interact with physicians and vendors to help evaluate the introduction of new technology or procedures

Cultivate and maintain professional relationships with primary customers

· Develop relationships across the service line continuum to include department directors/managers, senior administrative staff, physicians, physician groups, patients, supply vendors and external entities to foster opportunities for growth, revenue enhancement, enhanced customer service and to positively impact core clinical measures.

· Collaborate with medical staff to develop and implement new clinical systems/programs to enhance existing services and raise the standard of care for the patient population served.

Leverage physician/practice relationships to influence the successful adoption of evolving delivery models. Assist in the implementation, development, and on-going management of these models, such as, but not limited to:

· Co-Management

· Robotic platforms

· Intraoperative guidance systems

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

· Current working knowledge of the Neurosciences and Robotic services.

· Possess strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence. Flexibility in working with administrators, physicians, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and improve cardiac disease-specific programs.

· Promote the safety, health, and quality of life for patients as a first priority at all times and guide the creation and growth of cardiovascular programs.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, Power BI, Tableau and relevant databases.

· Ability to work independently and under pressure to follow through on issues.

· Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.

· Ability to establish and maintain long-term customer relationships, building trust and respect by consistently meeting and exceeding expectations.

· Ability to work effectively with other employees and external parties.

What qualifications you will need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in healthcare related field required. Master’s Degree in healthcare related or business field preferred.

  • At least eight years of progressively responsible related work experience that includes four years in an acute care hospital environment in a service line or growth focused leadership role.

  • Experience in working with physicians in the Neuroscience service line in the Continental Division is highly preferred.
