Job Description

The Communications & Marketing Consultant position is an opportunity to assist in managing Matter's needs related to public relations, internal and external communication, and special projects (with an emphasis on communications, culture, marketing, and firm initiatives). This includes the following responsibilities:

  • Manage and execute on public relations & marketing tasks and projects across the company, including managing the partnership with a PR and marketing firm.

  • Maintain social media presence and create content for use on websites or social media.

  • Manage monthly targeted distribution channels.

  • Analyze and report on communication analytics to leadership

  • Ensure that project deliverables are completed on time and meet the quality standards established.

  • Assist in the planning, scheduling, and communication of firmwide meetings and events.

  • Work with leadership team to prepare, edit and distribute internal and external communications via various distribution methods.

  • Assist with marketing related responsibilities and All Staff events.

Qualifications

  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other commonly used business software; comfortable learning and developing proficiency with other software.

  • Experience in managing social media campaigns.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, or related field.

  • Energetic and proactive; able to think and work autonomously, but not tentative about asking for help with needed.

  • Ability to handle sensitive information in a professional and confidential manner.

  • Excellent writing, proofreading skills and communication skills.

  • Demonstrated success working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Attention to detail and ability to identify and mitigate project risks.

The following qualifications are also highly preferred:

  • Marketing and/or graphic design knowledge.

  • 3-5 years of experience in marketing, public relations or related role.

  • Familiarity with LinkedIn and Wordpress.

  • Eligibility to become a notary.
