Emerson Business Development Manager in Denver, Colorado

If you are a Business Development or Key Account professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting remote opportunity for you based in the US.

As a Business Development Manager, you will engage with strategic Factory Automation customers to form positive relationships with key stakeholders at all levels and be a customer advocate both external and internal. Developing a deep understanding of the customers' key goals and how Emerson can provide solutions to help meet them.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Carry out Factory Automation/Sales growth plan for Discrete Products in Factory Automation.

  • Responsible to manage & grow large OEM & User relationships and opportunities: currently selling into Factory Automation.

  • Identify key stakeholders within the target accounts organization, who will have an influence on a developing opportunity.

  • Engage with strategic targets that promote growth with key USER accounts and develop relationships at all levels within target add segment focus.

  • Document via CRM or Emerson account management documentation, account details, personnel, and organization makeup within target accounts

  • Train and be the segment guide on Emerson technologies being sold in applications within the add Factory Automation

  • Coordinate with local, regional, and global contacts on opportunities, specification influence, and market initiatives.

  • Primary contact for Regional Sales along with collaboration regionally on strategies, global OEM engagement, and programs to support near-term/mid-term growth for the Factory Automation participating in Segment planning and forecasting efforts.

  • Provide a high-level overview of activities internally to the management team, being an advocate for target customers to gain internal support and required resources.

You show resourcefulness and are resilient at balancing partners’ goals.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Industrial Sales experience

  • 3 years of Industrial experience

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, strong initiative, good judgment, and decision-making capabilities

  • Solid understanding of the Microsoft Office Suite, in particular Word, Excel, and Power Point.

  • Valid Driver’s License

  • Ability to travel 30% - 50% with overnight and extended travel days within the assigned territory. (Will vary on sales territory)

  • Legal authorization to work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Marketing, Business, or a related field.

  • Basic understanding of Factory Automation

  • Fluid Power knowledge/experience

  • Proficiency in using CRM software, and sales-related tools.

Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during our annual merit review process. The salary range for this role is $80,874.04- $121,311.07 annually, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role.
