The role is in our In-Space Systems business unit, which is focused on the development, manufacturing, and operation of satellite systems to address one of the most compelling challenges in spaceflight today: space mobility. As part of a hardworking team of diverse specialists, and engineers you will be responsible for Electrical Power Analog Circuit Designs for our spaceflight system! Support trade studies and supply knowledge to help down-select spacecraft electrical power system architectures appropriate for mission requirements.

Methodically estimate power consumption and current requirements (average, transient, in-rush, etc.) from all electrical components

Generate EPS and power-consuming component models based on first principles, empirical information, and test data.

Responsible engineer for development of power system components

Analyze and determine compliant grounding/bonding strategies and architectures

Create and derive component requirements

Manage requirement traceability

Understand space industry standards related to electrical, electronic, and electromechanical (EEE) parts (NASA INST-002 or equivalent)

Build models and simulations of the EPS to evaluate use cases and conditions.

Perform analyses such as voltage drop/line loss, component derating/stress analysis, thermal effects, and worst-case analysis.
