The Analyst - Operations Design will collaborate with others on initiatives critical to the success of the enterprise.
Pioneer Operations Innovation exists to transform the delivery of healthcare. We are sister teams (Funky Bunch and Ops Design)of internal consultants and innovations partners who collaborate, ideate, and bring DaVita's strategy to life. Our projects revolve around four key areas: (1) reducing total cost of patient care, (2) improving clinical outcomes by coordinating care, (3) enabling innovative and world-class teams, and (4) partnering with external entities to evolve care. We help drive DaVita's most critical and challenging initiatives, and we develop relationships with nearly every team across the organization as a result. In addition, Pioneer is the only team that includes both Atlas (corporate) teammates and a field operating division (a "sandbox" for innovation) of 35+ clinics in Denver, Las Vegas, and Boise. With this capability, we transform ideas into solutions, pilots, and full-scale deployments.

Large-scale operating model changes to drive efficiencies and adapt to healthcare reform
Introduction and incubation of disruptive technologies in kidney care
Development and operationalization of growth strategies across Kidney Care and DaVita Strategic Business Units
Process re-engineering for hemodialysis
Integrated care business model development
Performs data analysis on newly implemented clinic systems
Partners with cross-functional teammates to drive collaboration and understand the business as a whole
The Analyst will work with a team of highly-motivated individuals with management consulting, process engineering, change management, and healthcare delivery experience and is expected to effectively manage individual work streams and communicate recommendations to senior executives.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Collaborative Problem Solving:
Leverages hypotheses-based approach to identify, validate, and quantify opportunities
Analytics and Strategic Synthesis:
Develops and improves credible and pragmatic analytical approaches and frameworks; uses continuous improvement tools (Lean, Six-Sigma) when appropriate
Builds complex models and conducts financial planning and analyses to assess impact on business metrics
Queries and analyzes large datasets to derive meaningful insights
Observes operations to incorporate 'real-world' considerations into work
Synthesizes data results in concise, visually-driven presentations
Written & Oral Communication:
Conveys findings in a cohesive story, including summarizing insights from analysis
Distills complex business problems into cohesive, impactful stories
Works closely with teammates in the clinics and develops long-standing relationships with operators and clinicians
Project Management:
Creates and manages individual work plan and contributes to overall project plan
Able to effectively communicate priorities upwards and balance capacity
Travel:
Up to 50% travel may be required at times; though typical travel is 25%
Minimum Qualifications:
0-4 years of total work experience
Experience with large-scale business transformations with tangible impact on operating/financial performance preferred
Strong analytical and presentation skills required
Evidence of strong partnership ability preferred
Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required
Strong email communication skills required
