The role you’ll contribute:

To provide leadership and accountability in the strategic and daily operations of the clinical service. The focus of the position will be the operations of the clinical service. This will include developing and maintaining physician relations, empowering clinical care givers through solicitation of input and implementation of actions to improve delivery of patient care. Responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating the administrative functions of the clinical service. He/she will supervise the delivery of patient care and has the responsibility for establishing standards of nursing practice for the service. Assure achievement of department, nursing division and hospital goals as well as adherence to hospital policies and standards set forth by accreditation and regulatory agencies.

• Directs the development of strategic and operational programs for the service area.

• Plans and implements established departmental and service policies and procedures which compliment nursing division and hospital policies and procedures.

• Establishes and maintains satisfactory customer and public relations through direct or delegated contact.

• Performs job functions/duties, providing effective verbal and written communication to both internal and external customers.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

• BSN required; MSN or other Master’s degree required within 3 years of hire or transfer.

• Four years of leadership/management experience in an acute care hospital

• Certification in Specialty or Nurse Executive Preferred (or within 1 year)

• Current Colorado RN License
