Texas Health Resources Program Manager Infection Prevention in Denton, Texas

Texas Health Denton is currently seeking a full time Program Manager Infection Prevention to help support our Quality Management Department.

Work location: Texas Health Denton 3000 N Interstate 35, Denton, TX 76201

Work Schedule : Full Time. 40 hours per week. Monday-Friday; 8am-5pm

Here’s What You Need

  • Bachelor's Degree Nursing, Microbiology, Medical Technology, Biology or related field. Required Or

  • Master's Degree Public Health Required

  • 2 Years acute care hospital (e.g. nursing or microbiology) or infectious disease epidemiology Required and Supervisory experience preferred

  • RN - Registered Nurse If Bachelor's degree in Nursing Upon Hire Required Or

  • MT(ASCP) - Medical Technologist if Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Medical Technology or Biology Upon Hire Required Or

  • M(ASCP) - Microbiology if Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Medical Technology or Biology Upon Hire Required And

  • CIC - Certification in Infection Prevention and Control 3 Years Required

Skills

  • Knowledge and experience in areas of patient care practices, microbiology, asepsis, disinfection/sterilization, adult education, infectious diseases, communication, computer and data management, program administration, and epidemiology is preferred. Completion of basic infection prevention training course within one year of entering profession.
