Job Title: 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician

Job Description

Perform duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment. This includes mechanical, plumbing, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of production machines. Read and interpret drawings, schematics, and blueprints. Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities. Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties. Detect faulty operations, defective materials and report those and any unusual situations to management.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain production machines and plant facility’s equipment.

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, plumbing, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

• Read and interpret drawings, schematics, and blueprints.

• Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.

• Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.

• Detect faulty operations, defective materials and report those and any unusual situations to management.

Essential Skills

• Strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic aptitude.

• Experience in changing out a motor (480V).

• Experience working in a highly automated, production environment, preferably in food and beverage manufacturing.

• Knowledge of conveyor systems, PLCs, automation, and Multivac machines.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in the food and beverage industry.

• Experience with Multivac machines.

Work Environment

The majority of the plant is climate-controlled, providing a pretty clean environment. Shift hours are as follows: 1st shift: 6:00am-2:30pm Monday-Friday, 2nd shift: 2:00pm-11:00pm Monday-Friday, 3rd shift: 10:30pm-6:30am Monday-Friday. The main priority is staffing the 3rd shift due to the specific skill set required for reassembling equipment after sanitation. Employees typically work 5 hours of overtime as standard each week, with one day off during the week that varies and every other weekend off.
