SUNY Delhi seeks a dynamic, forward thinking and engaging faculty member to join the Business and Information Technology Department of the School of Veterinary Sciences and Professional Studies starting Spring 2025.
Faculty members are responsible for the following:
Program and course development
Completing annual systematic assessment of course, program, and institution-level learning outcomes
Analyzing data and making recommendations for curricular and programmatic revisions where necessary
Teaching Responsibilities
Provide evidence-based instruction in the area of management, healthcare management, healthcare operations and other business-related disciplines for a broad portfolio of undergraduate programs in accordance with the policies set forth by the College
Examples of possible courses include Introduction to Business, Management, Business Communications, Principles of Healthcare Management, Legal Aspects of Healthcare, Quality and Risk in Healthcare Management, Coding and Reimbursement Methods, coordination of the Healthcare Management internships, and other introductory and upper-level business and/or accounting courses. Assignments may also include online and other non-traditional teaching modalities.
Post and keep regular office hours for the convenience of students
Infuse applied and service-learning opportunities in course delivery
Advisement
Provide effective academic and career advisement for students within the Business and Information Technology Department
Guide and counsel students toward personal and career development
Track students' progress towards degree completion
Academic & Organization Commitment
Serve on departmental work groups and campus committees
Participate in departmental and school-wide faculty meetings
Engage in the academic and organizational life of the college
Pursue scholarly activities
Job Requirements:
Master's degree in an appropriate discipline from an accredited institution with professional experience in the field.
Preferred Qualifications
Doctoral degree in a related field
Five or more years of professional experience in the areas of business/management/human resources
Experience with college-level teaching or working with young adults
Demonstrated ability to teach diverse populations
Understanding the value of civic engagement
Additional Information:
Salary $52,000-55,000
This is a 10-month academic year, tenure track position
