Description We are seeking a Budget Analyst to join our team in the higher education industry, specifically within a university setting, located in Delaware, Ohio. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity where you will primarily interact with budget managers, providing analysis and reporting on budget usage. This role heavily utilizes Excel and requires strong communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Act as the primary point of contact with budget managers to provide detailed analysis on budget allocation and utilization.

• Proficiently use Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains and other Accounting Software Systems to manage and monitor budget processes.

• Use your expertise in Accounting Functions to ask pivotal questions if budget managers exceed their allotted budget.

• Prepare reports on budget utilization and anomalies and present them to the controller and VP.

• Perform cost analysis to ensure efficient use of resources within the annual budget.

• Conduct auditing tasks to maintain compliance and accuracy in all budget-related matters.

• Leverage your skills in 3M, Business Systems, and other relevant tools to ensure efficient and accurate budget management and reporting.

• Handle any customer inquiries related to the budget and provide timely and accurate responses.

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action as required. Requirements • Proficiency in 3M systems is a must

• Experience with Accounting Software Systems is necessary

• Familiarity with various Business Systems

• Demonstrated ability to handle Accounting Functions

• Experience in preparing Annual Budget is preferred

• Knowledge of Auditing practices

• Understanding of Budget Processes is essential

• Experience in Cost Analysis is beneficial.
