SUMMARY OF POSITION: The Shipping/Receiving Clerk will monitor driver check-ins, directing drivers to the appropriate doors. In support of the Radius Packaging quest for innovation, the Shipping/Receiving Front Office Clerk will strive to improve their work, our team, and our environment through genuine teamwork, a positive attitude, and open communication, using a safe, practical, hands-on approach.

SHIFT/HOURS: Monday - Friday from 8:00am to 4:00pm

PAY RANGE: Starting at $19.00/hour

JOB DUTIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.

  • • Assure all customer orders are completed with accuracy. • Assure all BOL’s and customer required documents are completed with timeliness & accuracy. • Monitor driver check-ins, directing drivers to the appropriate doors. • Generate/review/collect proper paperwork for Warehouse loaders, giving locations if necessary. • Help process all inbound receipts when needed. • Track & monitor daily fork/clamp truck reports, reporting any concerns to the Warehouse Leader. • Participate in and support continuous improvement efforts throughout the plant. Sustain 6S program in the production cells, supporting team members and reporting repeat variation to leadership. • Work safely, following all safety policies and proactively participating in the safe work of others and the safety of the overall environment. • Perform other support work to enable the team to be successful and as requested by administrative leadership. • Proficient use of material handling equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, clamps when needed. • Daily forklift pre-shift sign-off and maintenance when needed. • Cover shifts during vacations, weekends, and overtime needs. • Compliance to GMP, Food Safety, and Food Quality regulations as required by the company, customers, and/or government agencies.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES):

  • High School diploma or equivalent required with advanced technical certificate or formal education preferred.

  • Minimum of 2 years of logistics experience.

  • Minimum of 1 year of prior ERP systems experience.

  • 1 year of maneuvering large loads with a forklift.

  • Must have good organizational & communication skills.

  • Exhibit excellent decision-making skills.

  • Ability to work independently with little supervision.

  • Demonstrated capability in basic math and measurement.

  • Ability to follow guidelines independently and work as part of a cohesive production team.

  • Familiarity with basic business computer applications and mobile device applications.

  • Must have own reliable means of transportation (as this position is not readily bus-line accessible).

  • Must be able to read and write in English to accurately identify packing information, follow work instructions, and QA alerts.
