Ridgeview Medical Center Medical Receptionist/Front Desk in Delano, Minnesota

Purpose of Job This position is responsible for creating a positive first impression to patients, the complete and accurate registration and scheduling for patients. Job Functions Performs basic receptionist duties to include answering and returning phone calls, retrieving voicemails and maintaining department office equipment and supplies. Greets and provides courteous customer service to internal and external customers. Assures accurate processing of patient registration and scheduling. Scans, files and posts documents into patient charts. Assures accurate processing of patient registration and scheduling. Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Education/Work Experience Must be 15 years old Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Knowledge of basic computer functions and Microsoft Office applications Ability to meet and maintain the necessary background checks as aligned with position functions Ability to communicate in the English language for effective written and verbal correspondence in order to complete job functions as mentioned above Ability to perform basic math functions and count money Ability to respond appropriately to unpredictable situations and diverse patient populations Ability to multi-task Knowledge of Medical Terminology Basic knowledge of insurance information Ability to communicate in the English language for effective written and verbal correspondence in order to complete job functions as mentioned above Preferred Qualifications High school graduate or equivalent Medical Terminology knowledge Previous electronic medical software experience ?
