The Material/Warehouse Manager is responsible for the development, tailoring, and execution of Pall Danaher Material Strategy for Deland FL to create a responsive end-to-end environment from the point of order receipt to shipment out of the factory. The position is also responsible for material handling, inventory accuracy, and SAP master data updates throughout the facility.

This position is part of the Materials Organization and will be located in DeLand, FL (Central, Florida area; 30 Minutes North of Sandford and 20 minutes west of Daytona Beach.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Developmental leadership of receiving, and material handlers in operations/warehouse and shipping organization by developing high-performance teams, and people.

  • Develop and implement strategies to improve the plant’s Total Delivery performance by identifying areas by implementing the Danaher Material Systems.

  • Develops and implements warehouse and plant material flow programs, processes, and procedures to ensure inventory objectives are met and that material is available, in the right place, when needed for production.

  • Lead the implementation of a progress-based pull system to synchronize all internal material flow processes and external orders.

  • Implement inventory control practices to ensure inventory record accuracy (WIP), proper protection of all inventories, and optimum handling methods. Responsible for the site's Cycle Count program.

  • Responsible for developing materials strategies to deliver materials to manufacturing cells in small lots with highly frequent deliveries.

  • Identifies and implements continuous improvements to improve functions of Warehousing and Material Handling/Flow functions and optimize labor content.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA in Materials Management, Supply Chain Management, or related field strongly preferred, with 5+ years of experience in warehouse operations, material flow, or related areas.

  • Proficient in ERP systems (SAP/EWM/WM) with the ability to recommend and implement system enhancements to optimize material flow.

  • Well-versed in Lean principles such as the Toyota Production System or Danaher Business System, including one-piece flow, standard work, 5S, Kaizen, and problem-solving methodologies.

  • Demonstrated leadership experience in managing cross-functional teams effectively.

  • Minimum of 2+ years of supervisory experience, with proven success in leading teams with direct reports.

  • Experienced in managing and reporting on SQDP/KPI's.

  • Flexibility to support off-shift operations as needed

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Demonstrated planning knowledge and experience in low volume, high mix environment

  • Certified in Lean Manufacturing, 6 Sigma, or similar.

  • Knowledge of filter hardware
