Job Title: Principal Software Engineer [Req #6164]
Job Location: 108 Wilmot Rd, Deerfield, IL 60015
Duties: Plan, design, develop and test software systems and applications for software enhancements and new products including cloud-based or internet-related tools for highly strategic and complex/high risk undertakings. Play a leading role in new software design and development by setting direction for junior team engineers. Write code that establishes coding specifications, typically for software programs and systems that have no precedent. Spearhead design specifications and oversee implementation. Develop technical new technical tools. Own the development and rollout for an entire product, or large project. Write tech specifications and identify risks before starting major projects. Take on additional responsibilities for driving an initiative to completion. Use technical expertise in software design, architecture and software and system interrelationships. Interact with internal and external peers and management to share highly complex information and solutions related to areas of expertise, and gain acceptance of new and/or enhanced technologies and business solutions. May telecommute to Deerfield, IL. from any U.S. location.
Requirements: Bachelors degree in computer science or a related field plus Five (5) years of post-bachelors experience. Experience must include: Testing Automation; Design Patterns; Modularized Applications; High-Traffic Backend Server Development; and Operationalization. The required skills do not need to be maintained over the full term of required experience.
Salary Range: \$182,312 - \$210,000 / Year
