Job Title: Machine Operator
Job Description
As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for observing all prescribed or standard safety rules and regulations. You will work from an assigned schedule and perform tasks based on work orders, making decisions on the sequence of setups and processes within recognized methods and procedures. Your role involves setting up and monitoring a limited number of barrel augur, extruder, and related forming/winding controls such as pressure, speed, tension, and heat. You will also move, position nip rollers, rewind shafts, and razor cut devices as required for proper operation.
Responsibilities
Operate equipment or monitor continuing operations to maintain proper flow of raw and scrap film material and forming, cutting, and rewind operations.
Remove completed work and make simple tolerance and/or measurement checks.
Occasionally perform or assist with fairly complicated setups, other machine or related equipment repair, or maintenance duties as instructed.
Detect and report defective, contaminated material, unusual conditions, or faulty equipment to proper supervision.
Set up extrusion lines, including extrusion/die head changes, monitoring all line controls, making proper adjustments, and checking dimensions/quality of the product.
Essential Skills
Experience in manufacturing or previous machine operating.
Technical knowledge of extrusion is preferred.
Mechanical aptitude.
Ability to read a ruler.
Basic computer skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrates organizational skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with extrusion, plastic, troubleshooting, blow molding, blow mold machine, molding machine, machine operation, and setting up machines.
Production and mechanical skills.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40000.00 - $43000.00
