Description

We are in the education industry, specifically located in Deerfield Beach, Florida, and are currently in search of a skilled Staff Accountant to join our team. The role focuses on maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledgers; preparing and analyzing budgets; and performing general bookkeeping.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Conduct regular bank reconciliations and general ledger checks

• Prepare journal entries for income and expenses

• Ensure accuracy in general ledger

• Handle monthly closure of financial books

• Proficiently operate accounting software tools like NetSuite, Oracle, and QuickBooks

• Work with SAP systems for business process management

• Monitor and document financial transactions in line with financial policies and regulations

• Review and recommend changes to existing accounting procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required

• Proven work experience as a Staff Accountant or similar role in the education industry

• Proficiency in accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP

• Solid understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles

• Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management

• Experience with Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger management, and Journal Entries

• Skilled in performing Month End Close procedures

• Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Proactive and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

• Strong organizational and time management skills.
